Sanford is on my "Players to Watch" list for the 2010 Goldpanners. I like him because he doesn't fit the typical mold for a high draft pick, but I think he's got a legitimate shot.
Darian is a 5'9" outfielder who plays at Park U (NAIA school), and when I first looked at him I thought "oh yeah this guy is just filler". Then I realized all the tools he's got. Namely he can run like crazy, makes great contact, and seems like he's really got a good attitude and wants to go places. Also, Baseball America picked him the #10 prospect in the MINK league last season, so if they thought he was worth a look I think he's worth a look.
Anyone know about Sanford? How is my analysis? He's one of the guys I'm going to be pulling for this season.

Your analysis is pretty good. Of course, I'm not a scout, but I think he is also a very exciting player. Perfect Game has him ranked as the 17th best player in the MINK. I think this will be his first full season in the outfield. I tend to give PG a little more weight than BA, but both are outstanding. PG says that Darian's speed is enough to make up for some of his other short comings. We will see.
